Official Announcement

False statementes exposed in "The Brynn´s" article "Brynnland MP vanished"

Both members of the watchdog organization used to be members of the Brynnland government and it was our own decision to take up the occupation as press watchdogs. We have been working on a concept for several years.

“Maybe the current press situation was maybe one reason why our ministers felt the duty to found an organization that watches the media. We didn´t lose them. It is part of our politician´s rights to decide which position they want to hold” stated the Financial minister of Brynnland, Hugo Bolivar.

Concerning the recent government crisis in Brynnland, we have to express our firm opinion that is would have been a restriction of freedom to restrain the size of representatives who are sent to the upcoming Eutropean Conferences. We are happy that Brynnland has overcome the crisis and reached an agreement with the Eutropian Commissioner. The watchdog´s primary goals are to prevent any restrictions on the freedom of the press and to prevent them from writing untrue statemtents reported without reliable sources.

Unfortunately, this announcement could not be published earlier in order to prevent these rumours.

After the marriage the couple DeGeneres is leaving to the party
Concerncing the statement in the Brynn article from the 18th of November 2008, we want to make clear that Ellen April de Generess (former Chavez) just got married in Valencia in the state of Carabobo/Venezuela last weekend. Therefore there is no reason to talk about “private tete-a-tetes” or “wild romantic develops” between the two Eutropian watchdogs, Ellen de Generess and James Fox.

I completely disagree.
At NO point did the author ever say that the two people WERE a couple. The author simply stated the verifiable truth, they HAD been seen together.

Saying "there is no reason" to talk about a certain issue is a shameful, dangerous move on behalf of the Press Watchdogs, considering their aims should be ultimately to defend the freedom of the press.

The second you begin to limit the press' ability to report on governments is the second you start to march towards the horrible dictoatorships we can witness in countries outside of Eutropia, such as North Korea.

Just because the non-Eutropian country of Germany has pathetically subserviant, passive laws on the press' ability to report on its politicians (Schroeder even managed to use German courts to silence a newspaper for writing about him colouring his hair!) does not mean that all countries are like this. Britain, thank God, has a healthy tradition of allowing the newspapers a lot of freedom when reporting on politicians.

This is essential - in sends out a clear signal to politicians - just because you are up there, don't think for a second that we are going to stop laughing at you, or that we are simply going to bow down and let ourselves be used as a mouthpiece for your political aims.

The Brynn did an excellent job for which it should be commneded. It encouraged Eutropians to develop an active, healthy cynicism and a feeling on empowerment over their politicians, instead of the sheep-like fear which so many citizens live under day by day in dictatorships.

Well done THE BRYNN, and Press Watchdogs - shame on you for such a digraceful attack on a democratic press.

I'm very reluctant to have to diasgree with you, but I think, although the author didn't persist in saying there were a couple, the way he wrote implies that this is beyond debate.

Of course the defence of the freedom of press is one of the most important duties in democracy; but the defence of the personal rights as well. The Brynn has to barry responsibility for there work, and by that I mean, that they schould be able to question their method
of sensuational writing.

Apropos: I think our politicians do a heck of a job as the leader of our country. Of course we should question them, and of course we should question there work, but we also should thank them for their engagement. After all, we are the ones, who voted for them!
